On February 2, 2024, Murder at The Breakers debuted as a Hallmark Mystery, with the possibility of more in the series being adapted for television.

This was Hallmark's first historical mystery, and the first leading adult role for Ali Skovbye, who stars as Emma Cross, or, in the movie, Emma Vanderbilt-Cross.
